Following is important information related to testing. Accommodations In conformance with the American's with Disabilities Act, this District does not discriminate on the basis of disabling conditions. In order to comply with the Act and provide reasonable accommodation for individuals with special needs, we ask that you advise the staff at the time of application, but in no case later than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the examination for this position, of any disabling condition that may require special testing arrangements. Proof of the disabling condition will be required of the applicant in advance of the examination. Disqualified applicants will receive notification of their disqualification by mail. Qualified applicants are those who meet the minimum qualifications, and whose training and experience as described in the application packet best meet the needs of the District. Qualified applicants will receive notification by mail of the date, time, and place of examination(s). The type of exam will be determined based upon the best way to test for the knowledges, skills, and abilities necessary to be successful in the job. The exam types available for this purpose are written, performance, assessment center, or technical oral examination. All exams will be job-related. In some instances, evaluation of application materials will be scored and considered as part of the examination process. An eligibility list will be established consisting of names of those candidates who have passed all portions of the examination process. Names shall be arranged in ranking order of final scores. The eligibility list expires one year from the date established, or until fewer than three rankings remain., but may be extended upon approval/ratification of the Personnel Commission in ninety day increments.
