A little bit about me

Name: Joy O'Dowd

  • I'm 5 foot,nothing
  • I focused on molecular biology and did some research working with IGF proteins during my undergraduate studies.
  • I like to surf (alot)
  • I have two siberian huskies, a red-tailed childean boa constrictor, a snapping turtle, some feeder fish, a mouse, and now a beautiful baby girl.
  • I'm a coach.
  • I play polo with a great bunch of ladies on a mom's polo team.
  • I try to swim masters 3x a week... doesn't always happen.
  • I like participating in athletic competitions, ocean races are my favorite.
  • I've gone chumming for sharks during a summer internship and found that I get incredibly sea sick.
  • I'm a high school science teacher.

    10 things I want to do one day:

    (Not necessarily in this order)

    1. Go back to Europe, revisit Germany and Switzerland but go down further to Italy and Spain
    2. Go watch the Olympics live
    3. Visit the 7 natural wonders of the world
    4. Bungee Jump (can't be any worse than sky diving)
    5. Become fluent in my native tongue or Spanish
    6. Publish a scientific paper
    7. Be the goal winning scorer in one of my games.
