Write a "Song
of Myself" response journal covering the sections listed
in 2 below.
Note 1: A response Journal is a two column, double entry journal.
In the left column, list the section number and one or more
quotations that you found stimulating for their ideas, style, or
beauty. On the right side, list your clarifying responses,
thoughts, and or emotional connection to the work. Finally,
for each section, try to briefly summarize what the section was
about or restate the section's main idea or significance.
Note 2: The journal does not have to be in columns if you wish to
format it differently. You may organize it by rows.
Just make sure that your responses are clearly associated with the
section title and quotations.
