The Downey Unified School District is located in Southern California, approximately twelve miles south of Los Angeles, near attractive Southland beaches and mountain areas, and convenient to the downtown Los Angeles cultural center. The District, on property encompassing 13.8 square miles, serves approximately 22,500 students in grades K-12 and has an extensive adult school program. The District employs approximately 1000 certificated and 760 classified employees. In addition, there are approximately 80 management team members.

Teachers and other staff that require a credential
